From observation and perception one receives many impressions, which can be the source for further creative work, Videos are ideal ways to record one's own experiences. For further creative work, video recordings can be used not only as a narrative medium, but also as a painterly medium Using the tools of visual abstraction and alienation, the student's own shots focussing on observations of light, colour and movement from every day life were transformed into completly new associations and material perceptions. The final work also included supporting sound and the form of presentation.

Learning goals:

• Experimenting with cinematic techniques during recording and post-production.
• Abstraction of motifs and their transformation into new material perceptions.
• Documentation of the entire process in video form.
