Project:

On the subject of class struggle, the group conceived a playful intervention that took place in the cloister of the inner courtyard of the State Archive Basel-Stadt during the Museum Night 2018:  Entering the inner courtyard, visitors were randomly divided into proletariat or bourgeoisie and accordingly received different amounts of starting capital in the form of stars on a map. This capital could be increased or decreased at the various play stations: At the Department of Sport, a table football game could be played for stakes, at the Department of Relations, it was possible to get married (to divide the stars 50/50), contacting the Department of Social Affairs, visitors who ran out of stars could receive help and at the Department of Food, visitors could eat according to their status. The intention of the intervention was to provide a playful and participatory way of dealing with the subject of class struggle, which, in addition to the exhibits in the State Archives on the strike years 1918/19, generated an activating component.
